I clothed you with my warmth,
And held you close to my heart.
I whispered tender words
Of hope and joy,
Every second of the day,
Wishing we would never
Be apart.

Mummy held you tight
And adored you from the start.
You were my ray of light,
A soul so bright, I couldn’t see the dark.

You were my baby boy,
The sweetest love I knew.
From the moment we were one,
Nothing else mattered,
I gave my world to you,
This is my honest truth.

I imagined coming home
With you in my arms,
The touch of your skin
Close to mine,
Keeping you away from harm.

I was the happiest girl in the world
When they told me you would come.
I painted the nursery
A pretty shade of blue,
And placed your toys
One by one,
Like a family of two.
