What The Blind Man Can See

Light fills my heart before the sun sets,

The flight of birds invite the tide to rest,

Warm is the breeze caressing my skin,

Calm is the willowing shore of spring.

I walk upon uneven pavements,

Hearing the sound of voices as they speak,

Children with their mothers making plans,

Ambling, hand in hand,

There is an energy surrounding my heart,

I feel the humanity, the need to love.

My eyes cannot see,

But my soul reveals everything,

The sound and touch, the music of life,

Immersing my being

In a world so profound,

I am navigating through beauty,

Mettlesome of the unexpected.

I am freedom personified,

The demons are absent in my mind,

What the blind man can’t see,

Is all that he can feel,

The delicate voice of unearthed truths,

Exploring a different reality,

Engaging through the senses,

Allowing the spirit

To unveil who I must become,

Amongst this vast, darkened world,

I am still standing strong,

Alone, yet in the company of myself.
