The Last Dance
At the Dawn of Alzheimer's
Remember me as the clouds set in, and the gentle breeze soothes your aching heart. Even though you may not see my desperate tears and broken smile, remember me as I call your name, for I am your only child.
Remember me as your mind sways with melancholy, and the memories fade one by one. Remember me as your thoughts drown in the depths of confusion, and loneliness sets in the meadows of your life. Remember me as you listen to the music that set you free, and adored the passions of your soul. Remember me before you leave.
Remember me from childhood days, your little girl whos dreams you saved. Remember me because you are my world, my life, my all.
Do not fear; I will never leave your side; my strength will nurture you with love and heal your menacing wounds.
Let me take your hand, and dance forever in the comfort of your arms until time grows old.
