The End of Love

Twenty years ago,

The stars were aligned for us,

Beautiful and majestic,

They invited the heavens to join our hearts.

This love was destined to be,

Sketched upon fate,

It was ours to live, ours to feel.

Every day, we walked beneath the moon,

The starry night would embrace us,

Never letting go,

Oh how I miss those moments!

Your head upon my chest,

The quiet voice of certainty,

So far away from regret.

All of my reasons,

My purpose of thought,

The existence of my soul,

And the essence of life,

Were because of you.

Now our story has changed,

As tears and pain,

Have taken center stage,

Today our love is dead,

Negating all beauty,

It has lived in the arms of betrayal,

And has ignored all of the memories,

That we once knew well.
