There was once a little pear with flowers in her hair. She roamed the streets and had a zest for life. She had many friends, all of which loved her so. Whenever she was around, there was laughter in the air. She was such a happy and joyful little pear. Her best friend was Apple, whom she met when they were little. They had lots of fun together and played all the time. Apple was smart and funny and wore a ponytail. She was also cheeky and great at playing hide and seek.

The months turned into years, and the girls grew up. They were no longer little; now they were about to turn 18. A grand celebration was going to take place. Everyone wanted to attend; they were ready to celebrate. Bananas and grapes were thrilled, while an array of exquisite fruits was delighted. They partied until the early hours with all of their friends. It was a beautiful moment they will never forget. Apple and Pear cemented their friendship forever that day.

As the months passed, Apple became sad and withdrawn. All of a sudden, she wasn't herself, which worried her dad. So he called upon Pear to come and visit his daughter. She quickly arrived and went straight upstairs. Apple was crying by the end of her bed; she was feeling lost and confused. “Whatever's the matter, my friend? Pear asked with worry. Apple looked at her, and with tears in her eyes, said she was scared. “Why are you scared?, asked Pear. “Because no one will love me, my body shape is ugly. I don't like what I see in the mirror. I'm round with no waist, my legs are short, and I'm tiny”, Apple replied. Pear looked surprised. She always thought that Apple was lovely. Her skin was like porcelain, and her eyes an ocean blue. Her hair was golden blonde with beautiful waves, and she had a gorgeous smile that always made people happy. Pear took her hand and said, “You are lovely. There is nothing wrong with your shape; everyone's different. I'm sure you can relate. You must see yourself in a different light and bring out the best of you. My body is a pear shape; I have big hips and a small waist. My chest is small, and my stomach plump. I carry a lot of weight around my thighs, and I am far from perfect”. Apple looked at her, surprised. “ Are you telling me you’re happy just the way you are?” she asked. “I'm grateful for what I have. I'm happy to be me. No one is perfect. Everyone is beautiful in their special way. Sometimes we forget to see the qualities in ourselves because we always focus on the negatives. It would be best if you never compared yourself to others. You are unique in the eyes of the world. Be proud of who you are”, said Pear.

Best friends are always there and inspire you to be better every day. Pear sat closer to Apple and took her hand. “I want us to say something out loud, together. Could you repeat after me? I am brave, I am beautiful, and I am unique”, she said. Apple looked up with tears in her eyes and repeated, “We are brave, we are beautiful, and we are unique”. She cried tears of joy in the arms of Pear and promised her friend that she would never hate herself again.
