My Heart is Yours to Own

The fire in your eyes lays frightfully still,

It echoes the truth of a past now gone,

Entangled with memories and lost in time,

Longing to feel joy once again,

Amongst the rubble, it is hidden.

I wish the heavens understood your pain,

And turned back the clocks,

So that you could feel love again.

I cannot accept this world of confusion,

That instigates your soul to cry,

Where is the centre of your solemn earth?

Where do your tears go to dry?

My thoughts are with you, my voice, my eyes,

All that is mine is yours,

I will carry you through,

Every road that we follow,

Until quietude reigns in your mind,

My heart is yours to own.
