Losing Someone You Love

I would wish for the skies

To stop the hands of time,

So that I could have

One last moment with you.

I would paint the moon with love,

And adorn the stars with memories of us,

Our hearts could be free of pain,

And your smile would dry all of the tears,

That I ever shed.

If I could,

I would plead with life to bring you back,

Tell the sea to freeze the waves,

So that I could navigate towards your,

Once again.

I miss the warmth of your sweet embrace,

And the simple things to appreciate,

I miss all that is now gone,

And even more amidst the storms.

I will keep you inside my heart forever,

Safely, with care and the deepest of love,

I will be your eyes, your mind,

Your everything,

And live this life for both of us.
