In Your Dying Arms

Dear life,

Why was death made as your companion?

Don’t you know there is no joy in solitude,

Only tangible darkness that I cannot fathom.

When those you love can be no more,

The empty chair's design every room,

Curtains are drawn on the sunset of tears,

While memories are sketched in our minds.

Dear life,

Why is death so hard to bear?

It takes it all in exchange for my despair,

How can that ever be fair?

Don't you see that I have nothing left?

In your dying arms

My laughter descends into absolute silence,

You cannot feel the warmth of my embrace,

My words no longer comfort your heart,

Life has lost all reason without you.

Oh, death,

Stay away from my sunken heart,

The damaged you imposed is more than enough,

Your solemn tune invites the melancholy,

Of a soul that no longer desires the moon.
