I Am Beautiful
I am the light,
When all seems dark,
The silent note
Of every word,
And the tender rythym
Of a lonely heart.
I am the melody of joy,
And the language of love,
I am the harmony of truth
Behind the veil of uncertainty,
The aching pain
Of failed regrets.
I am beautiful,
Just the way I am,
From head to toe,
With faults and all.
I am the only story
That could ever be told,
I am me,
Living in perfect synchronicity,
With a past now gone,
And a future to uphold.
I am in the present,
Creating my own narrative,
In between the parallels
Of an imperfect life,
Finding who I need to be,
I am wonder
And hope,
I am the field of battle,
And the hour of peace,
I am music and poetry,
On a stage of dreams,
And the ever-lasting glow,
Of a frail humanity.
I am beautiful, my friend,
Because I am me.
