For One Last Moment
For one last moment,
My hands caressed your sunken face,
Trembling in silence I felt so alone,
As the brightness of your stars faded away,
And the evening sun voiced me to stay.
Your eyes showed me the essence of honesty,
Your mouth uttered every meaningful word,
Your mind addressed my latent sorrows,
Your heart was my only world.
Now the wreckage of my life shatters,
Without you I fall
Into meaningless ambiguity,
I am barely expressing desolate words,
As the night hopelessly kindles the moon.
When will I hear your laughter again?
The distinguised beauty of your soul,
I miss everything that you are,
In every moment of this appointed life.
If I could only plead with time,
To turn back the clocks,
Say it is urgent, that love cannot wait,
Please take me back to the light in your eyes,
For now,
The quietude of darkness takes my hand.
