Fireflies and Moonbeams

Photo by Evan Leith on Unsplash

The sun has set,

Before the night takes rest,

And the gentle breeze of life

Embraces my vulnrable heart.

I am not afraid anymore,

Of what I cannot control

Yet alone, ignore.

I have become strong

Behind the shadows of my soul,

And have let in the light,

Into my faithfull home.

The fireflies have nested

Aloft the beauty of the moon,

Bringing joy to my spirit,

Amidst the graceful afternoon.
