Fear

There is a fear set behind the curtains of your mind, longing to destroy the dreams kept in your heart. It forges a volt of crippling doubt, inviting thoughts to drown in grief. Fear is a burden, a torrid affair with the self, tormented and broken like withered glass. It does not contend with strength or resilience but moves along your soul like a wild serpent, invading the essence of hope, stripping away at your optimism with rushing tides of dread.
