Remember me as the clouds set in,

And the gentle breeze soothes your aching thoughts,

Even though you may not see

My desperate tears and broken smile,

Remember me as I call your name,

For I am your only child.

Remember me as your mind sways with melancholy,

And the memories fade,

Remember me as you drown in confusion,

And loneliness sets in the meadows of your heart.

Remember me as you listen to the music that sets you free,

I hope you say my name before you leave.

Remember me from childhood days,

Your little girl whose dreams you saved,

Remember me because you are my life and my dearest friend.

Do not fear,

I will never leave your side,

My strength will nurture your mind,

And heal the imminent wounds.

Let me take your hand,

Just like you did

When I was growing up.

I will take your fragile state

and sit beside your darkest days.

Nothing will keep us apart.
