All That I Am And Will Ever Be

My world cannot distinguish beauty from pain,

It cannot fathom a perfect rose,

Who’s thorn has withered gently away,

My eyes view your sky like the restless sea,

So intertwined, they cannot be free,

The stars call in vain

In the infinite night,

Pronouncing your name,

As the fire burns bright,

The touch of your lips feels like silk,

As does my fragile state of mind,

I am losing myself

In a maze of lust and desire,

Wishing this truth would never expire,

All that I am and will ever be,

Is sketched upon our reality.

Running through the fields,

The warm wind in your hair,

Take me closer home,

Anywhere,

Everywhere,

As long as your spirit is there.
