I remember the river of dreams,

Running through my veins,

Taking hold of my beating heart,

Killing the thorn of my pain.

Your eyes rescued me from the dark,

Setting the stage for undying love.

Time stood still,

Our souls became one,

You were my world, my all,

I remember the delicate voice,

That whispered truths beyond time,

Your words caressed my sombre sky,

And allowed the stars to shine.

Nothing stood between us,

Our passions dressed each day,

I will never forget the essence of you,

My reason for living, my muse.

When you cannot find me,

Or hear my voice,

When my eyes are closed,

And my heart is stone,

Look for me in your memories,

In the space created for love,

Where all is never lost,

And my soul is forever yours.

Look for me in the simple things,

Where beauty never fades,

The ocean breeze,

The passing of night into day,

At the dawn of time, infinitely woven,

Under the midnight sun,

Where our spirits never die.

Look for me beyond the gates,

Of all that we are, and will ever be,

A magical array of dreams,

Interlaced with destiny.

In the shallow nest of your empty heart,

I breathe the deafening silence,

That tore us apart,

The erosion of truth laid bare,

Invading my thoughts with its mighty glare.

Time did not amend my sorrows,

Or invite my tears to dry upon the sun,

Our last goodbye we sculpted in pain,

Love had died and turned to dust,

And nothing was ever the same.

I Am A Broken Man

I am absent from myself,

Hovering in circles above this world,

Trying to make sense of it all,

As the compass of life fails me,

I lose all direction and control.

My mind is overthinking,

Thoughts negate a chance for peace,

Calmness does not exist,

It has left no trace inside of me.

I am a broken man,

Walking beneath the fallen stars,

Tomorrow weeps in my name,

And yesterday is laced with regret,

The paths of time know me well,

They free my spirit,

From the gates of hell,

As I walk alone in search of hope,

The morning winds

Caress my aching pain,

Sunrise comes to rescue me,

The velvet light surrenders,

I bid a final farewell,

And diminish this grief,

That I know too well.

The hourglass of broken dreams,

Salute the restless tides,

Inviting my lonely heart,

To rescue my soul from death.

The solemn words of barren hope,

Do they speak to me in rhyme?

This poetry of lies,

Is disturbing the harmonies,

And the meaning of life.

I am at a crossroads,

Of fleeting moments,

And aching thoughts,

I ask the ghosts of yore,

Will time allow me to live,

In the corridors

Of a peaceful mind?

I wish that I could smile,

And feel alive,

For a little while,

But my sombre sky,

It does not allow

For the stars to shine,

Or for beauty to be mine.

So this is where my journey ends,

In between sculpted mirrors,

And a feeble lens,

Which reflects on all that is,

And will become.

There is a stillness,

Embracing my mind,

Hovering in silence,

Upon the hands of time,

My past is dancing,

With memories of old,

Reminding me to listen,

To stories untold,

The melodies of dying words,

Fulfil the void

Of failed regrets,

My world does not answer,

It does not speak,

When I ask,

What will become of me?

When love is marred,

And turned to stone,

When everything is lost,

In the fields of woe,

Gently weeping,

I walk the streets alone,

There are no answers,

No place to call my own.

You are not alone,

In the hours of pain,

And the suffering days,

I will be your shelter

And your peaceful home,

My heart is your vessel,

My soul, your world,

Until my life surrenders,

And seasons come to pass,

I won't ever let go,

Or dim the light in your stars,

Every word I say,

Will be spoken with love,

Until my dying day,

I will keep you safe from harm.

Tell the world who you are,

Be brave in this battle,

And reveal your scars,

Trust yourself enough to know,

That you are beautiful

For all that you are,

And you deserve love.

Don't be afraid; abandon fear,

For it will only refrain,

Who you are to become,

And remember,

This life will not wait,

It will not stop

To take your place,

Or converse about the past,

The present is all you have,

So take a risk,

Believe in yourself,

Do not doubt the stars

That shine over your sky,

Or the mystical moon,

Inspiring you to fly,

Create a space inside your mind,

That allows you to dream

Beyond the realms of time,

Let the simple things,

Invite your heart to smile,

And remember that everything

It is only here,

For a little while.
